Hello! My name is Krista, but you can call be by my nickname – Hoppy!

I am SO excited to be starting this blog. I blogged once upon a time 10 years ago and loved it, but wanted to focus on my career so it fell to the sidelines and into the abyss of the cyber world. I’ve had a LOT happen since that little blog 10 years ago and I’m finding myself needing a small space to call my own and encourage me to stay creative through documenting and writing. Maybe we should call the need to begin blogging again ‘my postpartum identity crisis’. 😉

So what will you find here? I’m not quite sure yet, but if you’re reading this I’m excited you might follow a long for the ride. In the beginning, you’ll find a hodge podge of my life happenings….and then who knows where it will lead us!

So who am I? I am a new mom, a working mom, a cat mom, and a wife to a husband that is better at household chores than me. Our little free time when quarantine is not happening is spent by working on a new home project in our mid-century home, cooking or baking, trying to learn how to garden, adventuring local and afar, learning new crafts, trying to run again postpartum (me and my husband are former marathoners), and of course spending quality family time at home (cats included). There really aren’t enough hours in one day…

My husband and I met through music, so you may see some music related fun on here too — really this blog is our oyster! We’re going to have fun with it, and hopefully you will too!
